I had the double room which was reasonably spacious and fine. It was in a remote location, in the middle of the city.

    Can’t think of anything.

    decent room
    great value

The room was decent for the price, though I really wished there was a mirror in the bedroom. Make sure to check dining options in advance as nearby pubs may not be open at all times.

    comfortable bed
    scenic view
    excellent breakfast
    no tv in room
    pub noise
    communication issues

I stayed in a Beautiful King Room for 2 nights, enjoying the fine view of the river and the comfort of the bed. The breakfast selection was excellent, with options. I found the absence of a TV in the room unusual and the noise from the pub below was noticeable at times. It's a solid choice for a peaceful getaway, but consider potential noise if you're sensitive to it.

Had a great experience with delicious vegan curry and a vibrant local music session. The soundproofing was perfect. We barely heard any noise despite being above the pub.

Perfect for families looking for a good stay

The breakfast was excellent , Chef Ben really knew what he was doing. Also the staff were very kind, that kind of personal touch is rare.

It wasn't exactly cheap, but for the quality, I felt it was still reasonable.

Nice view of the river from the bedroom adds an appealing backdrop to your stay. The setup of the rooms above the pub provides a unique atmosphere that gives you a taste of local life.

Expect basic room comforts despite the price tag. Not much in the way of cozy seating, which would have been nice. The opening hours of the pub can be a letdown since it's closed Sunday to Thursday, and the nearby pub might not be your backup if they also decide to shut down. The external stairs require caution, especially for those who prefer a quieter, safer passageway.

    would definitely return

Our Beautiful King Room had hardwood floors and a great seating area with river views. The private bathroom was well-equipped with a shower and quality toiletries. Breakfast was great with a full English option and fresh juice. The super nice team, particularly with local tips. Super clean all around, we felt right at home.

Charming Stay with Really good Comfort!

Had a wonderful solo stay, enjoying the tranquil atmosphere. The superior king room offered fantastic comfort, just wish I'd known about dining closures beforehand. For future guests, check local pub hours upon arrival to ensure meal options. A lovely experience despite minor inconveniences!
